Rick Rosenbloom
Founder, Managing Partner

Rick founded Fuel Break Capital Partners in 2008 and brings nearly 30 years of distressed investment, special situations capital advisory, M&A, bankruptcy and restructuring law, and operational experience. Prior to Fuel Break Capital Partners, Mr. Rosenbloom has served as a Principal and Head of Restructuring and Debt Capital Markets for Gemini Partners, a Los Angeles-based boutique merchant banking firm, as Principal, General Counsel and Head of Origination of Continental Plants, an industrial focused distressed debt investment firm, President, Licensing Ha-Lo Branded Solutions and C.O.O, Head of M&A for Creative Concepts in Advertising and as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of The Hilco/Great American Group (now Hilco Global and The Great American Group). Rick began his career in Chicago with Kirkland & Ellis and Schiff Hardin in their bankruptcy and restructuring groups. Rick received JD and MBA degrees from UCLA and graduated With Distinction from the Honors Program of the University of Michigan.

Mustafa “Mus” Chagal is a serial entrepreneur and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Additionally, Chagal is an Entrepreneur-In-Residence and Faculty Coach at University of Chicago Booth Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Chagal has been a long-time judge-mentor for the New Venture Challenge advising numerous early stage companies Currently. Chagal is an Advisor at Dentons, the world's largest law firm.  Chagal was the acting CEO of UICO (2018-19) ,a venture backed company with proprietary technology that enables touchscreens to work when exposed to water, liquids, and through gloves, and the Chairman of the Board since 2013.  Chagal has been involved in international private label manufacturing (Turkey & Israel) and distribution of products & components for the industrial and building materials sectors in USA. Chagal started his entrepreneurial career in 1999 at FastWeb, a technology start-up that became the destination site and search engine for college bound students looking for scholarships (acquired by TMP Worldwide).  After receiving his MBA from University of Chicago Booth, Chagal was recruited by Booz Allen & Hamilton and helped launch their office in Istanbul. Chagal joined Ameritech Executive Development Program after college and held several senior corporate and operating positions with increasing responsibilities for a decade in the telecom sector. Chagal was born and raised in Cyprus and came to the USA on a Fulbright Scholarship in 1984. Chagal holds a BS in Computing and Information Science & Math from Roosevelt University, and an MBA from University of Chicago Booth. Chagal is passionate about soccer and has coached AYSO for decades. Mus Chagal lives in Lincoln Park with his wife and two sons.
